1. Michelle loves vacations in Hawaii and started her round robin with the Honu sea turtles with sashiko.
2. Bonnie did the second round. She started with a brown eye stopping border and added ocean wave blocks.
3. Kathy added a turtle batik round with pinwheel accents. Michelle picked up the turtle batik fabric while on Kauai, a custom batik for the local shop.
4. Robin went back to the center theme, added sashiko and applique turtle, swimming towards the center to join the others.

Michelle's final round
5. Paula added an ocean wave for the turtles to enjoy. A unique blend of pieced block and applique to make the waves. Thanks everyone!

Turtles are definitely unique and relate to Pacific. How about memorializing the Southern California Wild Fires? That could really be colorful?

Hi Michelle,I think your quilt is one of my most favorite ones made. I love the colors and the way your friends stuck to the theme and the colors they chose to stick with the ocean theme. I wouldn’t change a thing about it and if you ever want to give it away or sell it send it my way. You have really progressed in you work and your color choices. Keep up the good work. Myrna
